Rain coming before cooler air. mts snow

We have rain coming Tuesday night and Wednesday. Not a washout. Much cooler air and snow flakes in the higher western slopes of the Appalachian mountains seems possible Thursday night.

Great end of Week – Rain tomorrow and an oK Sunday – great next week!

We have a splendid end to the week with temps reaching the low 80s for most. There will be a bit more humidity today, but the weather is great.

Tomorrow a strong front will approach. This front will have some moisture infused into it so that we could see a relatively quick 1 – 2 inches of rain tomorrow afternoon and into tomorrow night. Temps will again reach the 80s and a few severe storms could affect the region. The rain clears out Sunday and temps will be cool and in the 70s.

70s during the days and 40s and 50s at night will dominate the rest of the week!

BTW – for real, fall is when you plant grass and get aeration! This is the best time to do it! If you can’t do it yourself, please reach out to my friends Dave in the Northern VA area – The Aeration Corps

Wet forecast with daily chances of Showers and Storms – Flood Watches posted

Between now and Wednesday the forecast is easy! Cloudy with some breaks of sun. Showers and storms possible at any time, but the thunderstorms are more likely in the afternoon than in the morning – Rains could exceed 1 to 2 inches in any one storm, so we have flood watches posted as the ground remains saturated with all the rains we have had. This broken record does look to lessen Wednesday some, but muggy weather with a chance of showers and storms will continue through the entire long range!

Temps will be in the 80s during the day and around 70 at night.

Rain is likely Today – Wednesday with very humid conditions.
There could be flooding rains from any storm and isolated severe storms. As of now, widespread heavy rains appear that they will miss us to the north and way south. Isolated severe weather with water spouts along the coast is also possible.

40% chance of showers and storm on The Fourth of July
30% chance of showers and storms on Friday and going into Next Weekend

A break today – more rains on the way

We get a respite from the wide spread rains and Severe today. We will see isolated storms and some could still be severe and have heavy rains. Temps in the upper 80s to around 90. Starting tomorrow and through Tuesday it looks very wet. Look for flood watches in the region and a continued chance of some severe weather. The most rain appears to be along the coastal plains and actually on the coast with as much as 2 to 4 inches expected with some folks seeing as much as 5″ based on individual storms. We will finally see a respite in the rain chances Wednesday, but still a 30% chance of afternoon showers and storms, even on the 4th. We will remain in the moist flow and slightly below normal temperatures.
